Making Justice Understandable: Adapting Criminal Justice for Juveniles and Youth Law into Child-Friendly Language

Our young people from 8 cities across the country, involved in the project "Youth Voice for Justice &Rights" with financial support from the Austrian Development Agency and ADC in Albania, and implemented by Tdh Albania, participated in a 4-day workshop led by expert Ms. Valbona Mane. The workshop aimed to generate ideas on simplifying complex concepts into language that is more understandable for children and young people.

During these days, the youth groups, who were previously empowered with knowledge through training sessions on legal education and gender equality issues, presented their proposals to facilitate the understanding of the rights and obligations recognized by law.

"Simplifying legal concepts in an understandable language is a challenge that burdens us with a great responsibility, but we are happy that our ideas were welcomed. We hope that we are on the right path to contribute in this process," says Aleksia, the 17-year-old from Lezha.
