Individual and community psychosocial help for children, adults and youth impaired by distress in communities exposed to adversity

Tdh implements age-appropriate, community-owned, and socially and culturally acceptable sessions with the beneficiaries. The project is implemented in cooperation with and the active involvement of the leaders from the community Afghan evacuees, who have already started to organise themselves to serve as mediators between the aid organisation proving assistance and the community itself.

Goal

Terre des hommes provides psychosocial support to the Afghan refugees sheltered in Durres and Shengjin, while they are expecting the processing of their Special Immigrant Visa (SIV).

In the MHPSS and Resilience building programs youth and adults learn strategies for managing practical problems, improve mood through behavioral activation, reduce feelings of stress and anxiety as well as strengthen the social support network.
