Tdh Continues to Work on the Research Project on Online Sexual Violence.

Twenty young people from Tirana and Shupenza, who were trained in this field, organized a research activity with their peers at the "Sinan Tafaj" gymnasium in Tirana and at the "Ibrahim Daci" school in Shupenzë (Bulqizë). Psychologists, teachers, social workers, and representatives from the police and the local health center were also involved in the discussion with the young people. Young people, in particular, emphasized the importance of reporting the phenomenon and how it can help them feel safer online.

"It is important to be cautious when surfing online and refrain from sharing personal information. It is also important to support each other in cases of risk and to report these incidents to parents, the school, and the police," stated one of the participating students.

"I'm glad we had the chance to discuss a topic that is not often talked about," said another student.

The Safer Internet Technology Coalition research project, in which Tdh is one of the implementing partners, along with Royal Roads University (Canada), the International Institute for Child Rights and Development (USA), and the Kenya Alliance for the Advancement of Children (Kenya), aims to provide increased support to government and civil society actors to enhance their understanding of the risks young people face when using the Internet.
