Driza, orientation meeting to help the job-seeking community

Panajoti has just returned from France and his priority is to find a job as soon as possible.
"I have to support my family, so finding a gob is urgent for me. But when you don't even have the right education, it's twice as difficult for me and the whole community where we live because we don't know where to turn."
For Panajoti and other parents in Driza (Fier Municipality), the staff of the Multifunctional Community Center held a special meeting in the premises of the Moving Service of this administrative unit to facilitate the job search process.
"These meetings are very useful because we learn to know where to turn and how." But more than that, in this meeting the parents were also introduced to the opportunities offered by the project "Sustainable Socio-Economic Reintegration of Returned Migrants in Albania" funded by #GIZ, implemented by Terre des Hommes, in cooperation with Fier Municipality and in partnership with Murialdo Social Center.
"This meeting gave us the opportunity to get to know the sustainable models of people who have managed to work regularly from our community during these months" - says Mario, one of the parents present at this meeting. He appreciates the fact that even though they live in the same area, it is important that this meeting serves as a better opportunity to get to know each other, and to share good experiences.
Niku, one of the cases supported with Internship from the programs implemented in the MFCC of Fier Municipality points out:
"Thanks to the support of the Internship program, I have been employed in a company for almost a year and I have received a salary increase every 3 months. This has helped me bring income to my family."
Like Niku, throughout the year 2022, Terre des hommes Albania has supported 125 people and their families through economic empowerment for a sustainable lifestyle.
