Terre des hommes continues its efforts to prevent human trafficking in Albania

During 2023, Terre des hommes with the support of UNICEF, and funding from the British Government, will continue interventions toward strengthening and increasing the efforts to prevent the trafficking of persons and groups at high risk of trafficking in the regions of Dibra, Shkodra, Fier and Kukës , including children’s survivors of sexual violence and more severe forms of violence.

The project on "Increasing preventive resilience and immediate response services for child victims of trafficking and severe forms of violence" aims to improve access to community-based and specialized social services, as well as prevent and provide protective services for individuals at a high risk of trafficking.

Terre des hommes will continue to support child protection professionals and work toward more integrated and specialized service providers through Multifunctional Community Centers, and those with "one stop" for children’s survivors of sexual violence and more severe forms of violence, through capacity building on the models of these services, and the development of key skills against quality standards and good inter-institutional practices.
