March, dedicated to raising awareness among girls and women to eliminate all forms of violence, was in the spotlight of the students of the 9th grade "Ndoc Mazi" and "Edit Durham" schools in Shkodra, who had the opportunity to be informed about:
- International Women's Day History
- Stereotypes of Albanian society towards girls and women
- Forms of violence and trafficking as well as other forms of exploitation
Ermelinda tells us after this meeting what the information served for:
"Now I know how to take care of our safety and where to seek help in situations when we are subject to all forms of violence"
It is also easier for Stela to refer to cases she hears for help:
"There are some institutions in defense of girls and women, we just have to be aware and use such mechanisms, referring to cases"
This is the first activity organized within the framework of the project "Preventive Resilience Building and Immediate Response Services for Children’s Victims of Trafficking and Severe Forms of Violence" implemented by Terre des hommes and UNICEF with the financial support of the British Government.
