 The protection of unaccompanied children, intergovernmental meeting Albania – Kosovo

Guided by common principles which aim is to preserve the highest interest of the child and respect the rights sanctioned by the International Child Protection Convent and all the national legal framework of each country, representative from the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Albania and the Ministry of Finance, Work and Transfers of Kosovo to discuss in concrete terms the implementation of the agreement signed in November 2021 for developing an integrated mechanism for treating and protecting the unaccompanied children, after they cross border.
Terre des hommes - Albania, represented by the Head of Programs, Blerta Mano, as well as the head of the mission of Terre des hommes - Kosovo, Florina Sefaj, unanimously emphasized the commitment to support institutional efforts in implementing this agreement to guarantee the intervention of inter-institutional coordination and the development of mechanisms guaranteeing the protection and provision of timely services for every child in need.
