The young people who receive services at the Multifunctional Community Center of Bulqiza participated in the launch of the "16 Days of Activism Against Violence Against Women" campaign organized by the Bulqiza Municipality. In the pedestrian area of the city, the young people of KKM Bulqizë, along with their peers from "Arbëria" school and "Nazmi Rushiti" vocational high school, presented their messages for increased societal awareness and community engagement through paintings. Their aim was to promote a zero-tolerance policy towards violence against women.
Aisha, a 17-year-old engaged with Terre des hommes programs in Bulqiza, is calling for increased awareness, not just during these 16 days.
"Every day, we must stand up for our rights as girls and women and say Stop Violence." I raise my voice for those who cannot express themselves or be heard. We cannot succeed against this phenomenon unless we all come together to empower girls and women through awareness and education."
Terre des hommes is one of the partners implementing the program "𝑇𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑠𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑚𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑁𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑎𝑙 𝑅𝑒𝑠𝑝𝑜𝑛𝑠𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝐻𝑢𝑚𝑎𝑛 𝑇𝑟𝑎𝑓𝑓𝑖𝑐𝑘𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑖𝑛 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑓𝑟𝑜𝑚 𝐴𝑙𝑏𝑎𝑛𝑖𝑎", led by UNICEF Albania and supported by the British Embassy Tirana.
