International Day of Girl Child, Awareness Session with Girls and Mothers: How to Navigate Safely on the Internet?

On the International Day of the Girl Child, the Terre des hommes team in Shengjin, along with the community facilitator, Sorosh Shiwa, also a Google expert, organized an informative-awareness session with the girls of the Afghan community sheltered in Albania with the aim of empowered them against a society increasingly exposed to digital challenges.
During the session, tangible issues were addressed, such as preventing internet addiction, creating a website, and promoting the well-being of Afghan girls and their digital empowerment.
Nilofar, one of the participants, said after the activity:
"Everything was great.I had not heard about Tdh and your activities before, because I have only been living in Albania for 2 weeks, but I feel very happy that I participated and learned more about online safety.”
Mothers were also included in this session to raise awareness about the importance of enhancing online security measures.
"Today I learned how to approach my children to prevent addiction to the Internet and electronic devices. Until now I was not aware of the existence of time limit options for the use of mobile devices.
