What’s the meaning of gender diversity and social norms?
This was one of the questions addressed to the young participants of the youth group of Tirana, who took part in a training session on gender equality issues and stereotypes, through which they had the opportunity to broaden their worldview on such topics that would be the source of a joint initiative they would undertake in their community.
Gledia, a 22-year-old girl, expressed after this training that it is now clear that "gender identity is directly related to the roles society assigns to women and men". While Denis points out that gender equality issues are mainly related to equal rights for boys and girls.
This training is the first in a series of trainings to be organized within the framework of the project "Youth, Rights and Justice", implemented by Terre des hommes - Albania des hommes Shqipëri, with the support of the Austrian Development Agency (ADA) with funds from the Austrian Development Cooperation.
