Summer Camp in Peza in the Framework of the GCERF Project

Peza is the next stop of our summer camp, organized in the framework of the Project “Prevention and Safe reintegration: Holistic Approach and Resilience to Violent Extremism” funded by the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (GCERF), this time with youth participants from Tirana. Sports activities combined with psycho-social games were considered by the participants as a good chance, not just to be entertained, but to make new friends, as well.

Fioris, a 14-year-old girl tells what make this summer camp so special for her: “I’ve been in other summer camps, but this one, was the greatest experience ever. I’m mean this, because of the games and other activities, which I never played before”

Whereas Eneda appreciates the opportunity to socialize with her peers: “I’ve met new friends, with whom I’m having a good time, in a qualitative and productive way.”

Thanks to this program, Fioris and Eneda along with her peers in Tirana have strengthened their knowledge upon their roles in building communities' resilience against the risks of violent extremism as well as trying to integrate other peers who are at potential risk of radicalism and violent extremism.
